สวัสดีครับชาว Online Station ทั้งหลายกลับมาพบกับผมนาย Pa2asIve อีกครั้งเป็นประจำทุกวันศุกร์ กับคอลัมน์ "เคาะรั้วค่ายเกมดัง" วู้ๆๆๆๆๆ ก่อนอื่นต้องเอ่ยคำว่ารักษาสุขภาพด้วยนะครับ ช่วงนี้อากาศเปลี่ยนอย่างรุนแรง บางวันหนาวจนไม่กล้าอาบน้ำ บางวันก็อุ่นขึ้นมาเฉยๆ เพราะฉะนั้นขอให้แฟนๆ Online Station รักษาสุขภาพกันให้แข็งแรงอยู่เสมอนะครับ เอาล่ะเรามาเข้าเรื่องกันดีกว่าครับ คอลัมน์เคาะรั้วค่ายเกมดังวันนี้ ผมจะพาเพื่อนๆ ไปยังดินแดนแห่งศิลปะที่มีความงามติดอันดับโลก ถ้าใครที่เป็นอยากจะเป็นศิลปินนักวาดภาพแล้วล่ะก็ ต้องไปที่นี่เลยครับ ฝรั่งเศส และที่ประเทศฝรั่งเศสนั้นก็มีค่ายเกมยักษ์ใหญ่อยู่ค่ายนึงครับที่ผลิตเกมดีๆ และคว้ารางวัลเกมมาอย่างมากมาย ซึ่งค่ายนี้มีชื่อว่า Gameloft ครับ และวันนี้ผมจะพาเพื่อนๆ ไปชมประวัติของค่าย Gameloft กันครับ เพื่อไม่ให้เป็นการเสียเวลา ไปชมกันเลยครับ
Gameloft ได้ถูกก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี 1999 โดยพี่น้องตระกูล Guillemot โดยเป็นบริษัทพัฒนาเกมที่มีรากฐานอยู่ในกรุงปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศส โดยที่รู้จักกันในนาม Ubisoft ซึ่งให้บริการไปทางด้านเกมบนโทรศัพท์มือถือ พร้อมกับโปรแกรม Java, BREW และ Symbian OS รวมถึง แพลตฟอร์ม N-Gage ด้วยครับ และ Gameloft ก็ให้บริการเกมสำหรับเครื่อง Console เช่น Sony Playstation 3, Playstation Portable, Nintendo DS, Wii / Wiiware, Xbox 360, Zeebo และแพลตฟอร์มอื่นๆ รวมทั้งไม่ว่าจะเป็น ios, Webos, Android, Window Mobile, Blackberry และ Window PCs ซึ่งได้ทำข้อตกลงกับผู้ให้บริการโทรศัพท์มือถือรายใหญ่ และปัจจุบันนี้ Gameloft มีเครือข่ายในการจัดจำหน่ายกว่า 80 ประเทศทั่วโลก
ต่อมาในปี 2007 มีการขยายตัวในการจ้างพนักงานเพิ่มขึ้นเป็น 4,000 คน หรือเพิ่มมากขึ้นกว่าีปี 2006 ถึง 59% และรายได้รวมในปี 2006 มีรายได้รวมทั้งหมด 92 ล้านดอลล่าร์สหรัฐฯ ปี 2007 มีรายได้รวมทั้งหมด 140 ล้านดอลล่าร์สหรัฐฯ และในปี 2008 มี่รายได้รวมทั้งหมด 147 ล้านดอลล่าร์สหรัฐฯ
