ทางสถานีโทรทัศน์ NHK ได้เปิดเผยผลโหวตผ่านระบบออนไลน์ในหัวข้อ "All Gundam Big Voting 40th" ซึ่งเป็นผลโหวตโดยนับเอาอนิเมะกันดั้มทุกภาคมารวมกัน และโหวตแยกความเป็นที่สุดใน 4 หมวดหลักๆ คือ ภาคที่ดีที่สุด, ตัวละคร, หุ่นโมบิลสูท และเพลง
การจัดโพลโหวตนี้เริ่มต้นขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 2 มีนาคม จนถึงวันที่ 20 เมษายน ที่ผ่านมา มีผู้ร่วมลงชื่อโหวตถึง 1,740,280 คน ด้วยกัน (โดยแบ่งเป็นชาย 78% และ หญิง 22%) มาร่วมคัดความเป็นสุดยอดจากจำนวนภาคทั้งหมด 56 ภาค, ตัวละครกว่า 2,000 คน, หุ่นกว่า 900 แบบ และเพลงกว่า 200 เพลง
